Does in every way live up to its reputation, and this camera gets a lot of hype. The JPGs this camera produces are incredible, I think I prefer them to the RAW files actually. I literally don't have to edit the photos that comes out of this camera.
Fun to shoot, mine is a little sensitive to CCD flaring, and missing more than one screw.

Note
Screw-type autofocus is not great, and the first time I tested this with the 50mm f/1.4D I kinda hated the combination. Will try again soon in better weather, and perhaps with a more modern lens.
First impressions not great, feels cheap, no IBIS, poor low light performance - not interested in keeping this. Bought in a listing to get the included lenses.

Feels much better than the E-420, and has IBIS, which is cool for it's age. Will try this one out at some point.
I regret selling this one a little bit, I grew up with this camera, took a lot of great photos with it. I didn't appreciate it enough for what it could do.

Very much regret selling this, cool camera with a great community. Magic Lantern is a super cool project. I tried capturing some RAW video, but ultimately I am not a videographer and native lens selection was not great.

I sold this to buy my A7IV, which I regret now. I loved this as a pocked camera and miss it often.
I can't fault the camera, but Canon color science and cheap EF lens selection won me back. Colors a bit to yellow/greenish for me, and I didn't like working around that.

Bought this for my 300D, still unused. I should have gotten an 18-200mm instead i think.
Has annoying lens creep, but optically it is a great lens and I use it a lot. Someone sold it to me for the equivalent of $20, which I think must have been a mistake.
I like the vintage lens flares I get from this. Focus ring is a little tight, I got this instead of a Helios 44-2, but now I want one of those as well.
A real kit lens, I have two of these, might get rid of both in favor of the 12-60mm f/2.8-4 SWD which in fairness is much larger and heaver, but a much better lens.
